October is almost over!!!    Let's make this book parade the best one yet!!  We would love for ALL staff and students to participate in dressing up like their favorite character.  Bring the book with you to the parade!

A FEW REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK...

There is nothing planned this week, unless I missed something!  It will be a long weekend for those that will take Monday, October 26 off.  PLEASE make sure to fill out a yellow sheet and give it to Joleen by Friday.  

A BIG THANK YOU to those that helped out on Friday with the Celebrate Series: Hispanic Cultures.  It was an amazing day, and our children had a great time.  Thank you Mrs. McBride and  Mrs. Blancas for their hard work and dedication to this event.  We look forward to the next Celebrate Series!  

We had a great time at the Rural Hall 5K & 10K Run!!  We had a team of volunteers and a team of participants in the race.  We could not do it without our Business Association and your dedication is appreciated.  THANKS AGAIN!!!

Hello!

It has been a CRAZY week...but it is almost Friday!   


I want to take a moment to welcome Mrs. Coker to our Rural Hall Family!  She is Mrs. Robertson's new assistant.  Please take a moment to welcome her.  


PLEASE MAKE A NOTE OF THIS!!!
     We will NOT have Staff Development on the October 26 Workday.  I have altered the schedule because we are officially  "Staff DEVELOPED!"  :-)   
      Seriously, we need a break.  It feels like we have been going and going, so feel free to take the day off if you have the leave available.  This must be entered into the sub system.  

Please remember to be at the Mayflower at 7:00 am if you are volunteering for the 5K/10K Run this Saturday.  If you have not signed up, there is still time!  Our business association does a lot for our school, and they need our support.  A BIG THANK YOU to those that are running (or walking like me) in the race.  Let us know if you have questions.  

I have placed an OUT OF HERE PASS in the boxes of everyone that participated in the Bully Walk last Saturday. Please let me know if I missed you! 

Make sure you have reviewed the TESTING SCHEDULE.  I will send out a modified ENCORE schedule soon.  

If you are participating in the Trunk or Treat on October 30th for the PTA movie night.  Please let me know so that I can make sure I have candy for all staff participating.

                            CONGRATS Mrs. Lyda!!!  

Mrs. Lyda was selected by the Forsyth Education Partnership!   The winners of the 2015 Innovative Grant were announced and put on the school system website. These grants are are sponsored by Woody Clinard and administered through the Forsyth Education Partnership.  Although we don't know the amount yet,  the grants are up to $500 and enable teachers to help students in ways that might not otherwise be possible. Mrs. Lyda will use the funds to continue to provide therapy for her students at Riverwood.   Congratulations!
