Teachers:  Please write up anything you have done environmental this year.  Each activity should be no more than 2 sentences.
This will be put up by the sign in board and will be added to our Clean and Green application.  The judging committee  is always impressed with everything the staff does to promote environmental education, not just what we plant and maintain outside.  A BIG thank you from Ms. Leonard!

PLT Schedule and Agenda

March 9
i-Ready Training with iReady Trainer:  All homeroom teachers should attend this week.

There will be a third SIOP session in April to make up for the one that was cut short in February!

New Leveled Reading Materials

I am placing new guided reading materials in the K-2 bookroom next week that span levels H-L.  There are six copies of each book in the bag, lesson design pages, and a code for the e-book access.  These books are barcoded for inventory purposes.  I will place a sign out sheet in each box, with the title of the book at the top of the sheet.  Please promptly return materials so they can be used by other classes.  When you return the materials to the box, make sure all 6 books, the lesson design sheet, and the e-book access code is still in the bag!  Sign the materials back in (just like you do cum folders)!

Thanks to Mason Hughes for getting these barcoded and into circulation for us!

Tutoring Session 2

Invitations for the next round of tutoring went home with students yesterday.  Please return those to me as soon as you receive them.  The next session will start on Thursday, March 3.  I will send you a list of who is involved in tutoring on Wednesday of next week.

Register for Workshops

The following workshops are available for registration through My Learning Plan.  Please register for first and second quarter PLT meetings soon.  Those will close out in mid-March.

Many of you received emails reminding you to evaluate workshops today.  Please evaluate as soon as possible!

Social Studies

Andy Kraft asked that CC’s remind teachers about the Inquiry based projects on the SS Haiku site.  He also offered up a new resource that deals with inquiry:  http://www.c3teachers.org.

Kindergarten Screening

Kindergarten Screening will be held on Monday, March 14th beginning at 8:30.  The Kindergarten teachers, Baker, Cartrette, Heath, Graves, Blancas, and Durham will be involved in screening that morning.

Lockdown INFO
The lockdown went great!  When passing through the halls, there we NO STUDENTS seen!   GREAT job!   Don't forget to check the hall quickly before closing your door.  This is just in case a student is in the hallway.  Also, DO NOT RETURN TO YOUR CLASSROOM if you are traveling throughout the building. Go into the nearest room, and lockdown  there.  For those that do not have a class, you are required to lockdown just like regular classrooms.  The were a few adults that were seen walking around or doing other things in their office/classroom.  Please treat lockdown drills as if it were a real lockdown.    Again, GREAT JOB!!!!
